Trameur

Using the lexicometric tool Trameur, we have succeeded in extracting the cooccurrences of a pole, a word or a regular expression, in our six working languages. What was most striking to us, is the fact that, in our corpus, the results look alike, in spite of the socio-linguistic differences. In other words, in all of our working languages, the word "weird" refers to people and to global news facts.

The most discussed topic in English, in Greek and in Korean, is the socio-political news. This is not the case for the other three languages, since in Arabic, in French and in Turkish, the corpus contains mostly common terms.
