In general, the use of the word “이상한” tends to reflect the current state of affairs, and was employed, most of the time, in this corpus, in a sociopolitical context.
As there was a huge scandal of the President of South Korea, a considerable part of the co-occurring words were reflecting this – some figures involved ,either directly or indirectly, such as “우병우”, “이영복”, and “오세훈”, and some relevant vocabulary such as “검찰(the prosecution)”, “처가(in-laws)”, “나라(nation)”, and “당(party)” .
Also, there were some words related to Alice in Wonderland, e.g. “팀 버튼(Tim Burton)”, “앨리스(Alice)”, “원작(original work)”, and “동화(fairy tale)”, this can be explained by the fact that the movie adaptation of Through the Looking-Glasshad been recently released.
