Lorry driver bailed over Oxford cyclist death

A 74-year-old lorry driver who was arrested following the death of a cyclist in a collision in Oxford has been released on bail.

The crash happened in Woodstock Road at the junction with Polstead Road at about 09:10 BST on Friday.

A female cyclist in her 30s was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

The cement mixer lorry driver from the Banbury area was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been bailed until 6 December.
