Since the Trans Murder Monitoring project began in 2008, 62% of the deaths have been in the sex workers community. In Europe, of the 11 recorded murders this year, half of them were migrants. Whilst in the U.S., 79% of those recorded as murdered by the TvT report were trans women of colour. The overwhelming trend shows trans women are most vulnerable. 98% of those murdered this year were trans women or trans feminine people.
