My nervous break down resulted in a 4 month anxiety and depression disorder. :( Had to take anidepresants to get out of it, therapy didn't help. But I am completely better now, its been more than a year. I suggest, seek help before its too laate if you are serious about it.

I'd look for some help if I were you, therapy might be the way to go right now. If you do end up having one then it might not do that much help in the long run.

How can you have a nervous breakdown when you haven't lived life in order to have one?

You don't have a job, you don't have a house or family to take care of.

My Mother had one a few years back. She left for two weeks to go visit her parents in Ontario because of it. She needed to get away for a while.

Stress can still get to people like that. Even for someone with no job and who would seem careless from the outside, you'd be surprised how often people like that have stress just as much as someone with a job and family to take care of.

Being stressful (I am at times espcially when I replace as crossing guard) and having a nervous breakdown are two different things.

I had a nervous break down when I was in College. I was put under a unique amount of stress and I could not handle it. I spent months trying to get back into mental shape tha way I was before. People deal with stress diferenrly. I had panic atacks because of it. My heart felt like it was going to explode, it hurt so much. I went to cardiologists and other doctors untill I wound up in a private phycologist's office and he diagnosed me with anxiety depression disorder. So having a mental or nervous break down at an early age is nothing new and is becoming an all to common acurance.

Well no.

How can young people have a nervous breakdown when they haven't done much with their lives yet? I've had a panic attack. I go through a lot of stress. I'm only 25.

I had two classmates who had to go home for the afternoon one day in high school because they couldn't handle that day any longer. They were stressed and were depressed. They overworked and had to leave for the afternoon.

I don't think some people here know what a nervous breakdown is.

Age is nothing..it's just a number...

Anyone can develop adult level type major stress, if given a paticular kind of life. As for mental breakdowns..Well, I'm not sure if I've eveer had one..Could anyone provide info on it, or a a website? I just want to be sure.

Anyways Grant..Try and find ways to add more epace into life. Meditation is a great helper.

I'm not seeing how having done something with your life is a requirement for having a nervous breakdown (something which I don't believe is even recognized as a clinical term, btw) It's also presumptuous to assume that a person has a to be a certain age to have as much responsibility and trouble on their shoulders as any "older" person.

Its the amount of stress that people undrego, age is irelavant. What happaned to me is nothing compared to what happaned to my friend. He is a year younger than me. he one night woke up could not breathe. He was hyperventalating. He spent two weeks in the mental hospital recovering for a *official diagnosys* nevous breakdown. His mental state was trashed and shis nerved were shot. But thankfully he recovered. I had a nervous breakdown, but not as severe as he had. Its not as complicated as you may think.
Some young people have more stress to deal with than old people and anoter thing. Stress, is a hormone secret from your brain. there are many stress hormones outhtere. Two people can have identical problems but handle them completely diferent. One can have a lot more stress that the other desling with tha same problem. Age is irelavant.
I had a lack of Serotonin levels in my brain which is why i had to take SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) an antideprescants to help balance it out. Lack of Serotonin is very comon to a nervous breakdown.

It happens. I had a VERY stressful childhood. Add the fact that Grant probably DOES have Asperger's and the fact that everyone and his uncle flame him on the net and he has a valid reason to be stressed. I could not deal with the amount of crap he gets thrown his way even if a lot of it IS deserved. Have you seen the kid's blog? There are people there advising him to kill himself! Grant may make me angry at times but there is no excuse for that. If my blog had similar posts I would have a nervous breakdown in a second.

Grant, am I right in guessing that a lot of your stress is based on online dealings with people? You never seem to follow anyone's advice but I'm going to give you some anyways. You need to lurk more and not post every little thing that comes into your head. I'm sure there are plenty of people in your life who WILL listen to your voice actor aspirations but people who don't actually know you will have little patience. I doubt this will get through to you but you don't HAVE to have a stressful life if you don't choose to. Take a break from the net. I couldn't deal with the stuff you do. Just chill and come back in a year, maybe under a different name. You have too much noteriety to make ANY experience you have on the net a good one.

I never mean to ignore advice, I guess I've just been given so much I feel like I'm having an information overload or something.

One piece of advice I have taken is acting classes which I recently started

Grant, I have seen you crash and burn all over the internet. It was gruesome. Your name was infomous in a lot of blogs and forums.
I think that recently you had a revalation. You have started on a long and prosess to gsain back people's trust. Although there are a lot of people that are bitter to you I hope over time that will change. And if they don't, too bad for them. I think you are brave to try and get your reputation back instead of just getting a new identity. Good luck to you. Don't take a lot of internet stuff to seriously. We all have a habit of becoming too much involved in our virtual lives that our own life slips us by. Fone Bone is right, try to take a break from the internet. It might help with with your nerves. it will releave a lot of stress.
