People can actually tell I have severe psychological damage , just by looking at me . Now I have to live with scars for the rest of my life , like being unable to enjoy working out , and staying motivated . Before the Nervous Breakdown , my motivation was a 10 , and I loved and enjoyed working out . I use to workout 4-8 times a week . Now I don ' t even enjoy it , because of that I only go maybe 2 times a week . A couple of weeks a go , I forced myself to go 5 times a week , and every time I went , it just made me feel horrible emotionally and mentally . For some reason I felt extremely lonely as well . I don ' t even feel happy about going to the gym , it feels like a chore these days . I can ' t stay very consistent . All this year I ' ve been very sporadic , like I took a month off , and sometimes I can only force myself to go one time during the week . Since that 5 - day stint , I haven ' t been to the gym since . Actually the only people who know about the Nervous Breakdown are people over the internet , no one in real life knows about it . I think a reason most english people don ' t really get depressed is because they accept life as it is , no point complaining . just get on with it Reply With Quote 3 . 12-04-2009 , 08 : 34 PM # 3 darksoulzero + View Profile + View Forum Posts Registered User darksoulzero ' s Avatar Join Date : May 2009 Age : 33 Posts : 22 Rep Power : 0 darksoulzero has no reputation , good or bad yet . I think you need to change your thought process . Accept reality , than get back on track . When you started the first time the results didn ' t come automatically and you loved lifting than because it was something you could improve by yourself . Well hey now you know what you can be and what worked before . Don ' t make yourself do anything , do it because you want it . I feel for you ... Three months ago I had a psychotic break and was committed to a local mental hospital for almost 4 weeks where I was able to recover . I never really gave this much thought until recently but we ' re all here to improve our physical bodies and yet we don ' t do anything for our mental health . Take care of yourself mentally , go see your doctor , get a referral to a shrink , somebody who can help you . It ' s the best thing you can do for yourself . It ' s more than likely you have a brain chemistry problem that can be fixed so why not do it ? Do it , you ' re worth it . When are you down , what will you do ? Stay down ? For how long ? How quickly will you get up ? When you fall down AGAIN will you let your past experience hurt , or help you get up quicker ? We will all go through hardships in our lives . How we respond to them makes us who we are . Possibly speak to your family , about treatment . There can be serious chemical issues that need to be looked at . I ' ve been there too , we all have , but it ' s not the end . You can get back up .
