Be strong , seek out a professional ( maybe a doctor or something like that ) and look for help . I hope things get better for you really soon . The first job is to get your doctor to try and clear up that SD , normally he should be able to do this quickly . The SD can confuse the issue because often it is scattered about the face mixed in with the rosacea . We rosacea sufferers have warm faces so we are prone to get things like SD , sometimes we also produce extra sebum so its good territory for SD . Do try and get this cleared up with an antifungicidal , you can then get a better picture of the rorsace plus you will feel better ! Rosacea can be a huge psychological hurdle . It ' s very distressing when your outside doesn ' t match who you feel you are on the inside . On the bad days it seems like things couldn ' t possibly get any worse and definitely won ' t get better . But they will get better . That ' s why we come here to try to sort out the mystery . It might help you to try to have a game plan . Do lots of research to try to figure out what might be causing your symptoms . Then look for possible solutions to your symptoms and figure out which one is feasible for you at this time . It might also help to keep some sort of record ( even a mental one if your not the sort to write things down ) of foods , emotions , stress , topicals used and even the weather or how you slept . Then if you have a good day or bad day try to zero in on what you think the underlying cause could be . Please keep us posted on how you are doing and don ' t be afraid to get professional help if you think you need it . Hope things are calmin down ! This is a little off the wall ... but are you a caffeine drinker ( pop , coffee , tea , chocolate , etc . ) ? Caffeine made any inflammation much worse for me while at the same time making me much more nervous . If I was already stressed the caffeine made me an emotional wreck and increased the feeling of anxiety and panic ! And that was with only a cup of tea or coffee a day ! I read recently that science has determined some people are unusually sensitive to caffeine . Cutting out caffeine has helped me tremendously in weathering stress . Hang in there ... and tell us how it ' s going CV Reply With Quote Reply With Quote 8 . 2nd April 2006 10 : 59 PM # 18 scrumptious + View Profile + View Forum Posts scrumptious is offline Senior Member scrumptious ' s Avatar Join Date Jul 2005 Posts 403 Default I also found that hitting the gym at stupid oclock before work really helped with anxiety levels and set me up for the day . I have just started applying for ' proper jobs ' and plan to do just that if i am fortunate enough to get through any interviews etc . The burning i had in my chin has gone due to using Elidel on my chin Does anyone Have Seborrhiec Dermitites on there cheeks or chin and know what its suppose to look like ? Thanks for your support guys . Right know im not using any medice just washing my face . LAMBGS , Here is the good news - You have alot of potential medications and therapies to try to get your condition under control . And , you are fortunate to have caught your condition in time before getting worse . Without seeing a picture and based on your statement regarding your symptoms , I would guess you are somewhere between mild and moderate rosacea . You can knock rosacea back a few stages , but you have to have patience and try a few different treatments / therapies . Know that treatments and therapies will affect different people in different ways . Also , know that derms ( assuming you will be going to one ) do not always prescribe the best meds for patients . Come to this board , and check with others or read previous posts to get a better understanding of precautions , limitations , etc . Don ' t give up without putting a good fight first ! You have alot of weapons ( treatment options ) at your disposal . Unfortunately , no cure exists , but cases exists of people keeping rosacea under control . Rosacea seems to control us and we need to control it . You have to be determined enough to defeat this beast and not let the beast run you into a wall ( or your car into a wall ) . It would be very sad indeed to learn after you hurt yourself even further and seeing you car all crashed up that your rosacea got better the next day ! Many rosaceans have their rosacea under control . I am not saying this is easy but there is so much information here at the Rosacea Forum and w.rosaceagroup.org for you to try that will show you how many rosaceans have their rosacea under control . So right now rosacea is controlling you . Not any more . You are going to be determined enough to tackle this rosacea beast and control it . Rosacea is not going to let you control it without a fight . Many sources have suggested writing a diary explaining the condition of your face and what you did that day to control it . Write down everything you do and what you take into your body . Everything . As you see over a period of time a pattern of what you do , don ' t do , what you eat and drink , you will see what makes the Rosacea Beast angry and what controls it . A diary has helped many rosaceans develope a way to control it . Every treatment you try be sure to include it in your diary . 30 days from now , 60 days from now and so on will prove enlightening to you . And then you will one day be writing some helpful information for some newbie who shows up here wanting to drive their car into a wall . You will defeat this terrible rosacea beast and it will be under control .
