The Promise of Latino Youth in Montgomery County, a new report from Identity
and researchers at the University of Maryland School of Public Health, finds
the optimism of Latino youth at odds with their reality. Identity pledges to

About Us

   [Identity-Two-Boys-Smiling-at-Camera.jpg] We’re building a stronger
   Montgomery County by responding to the needs of the county’s growing
   Latino population. Identity’s primary focus is on assisting in-school
   and out-of-school Latino youth and their families who live in high
   poverty areas of Montgomery County and are most at-risk for poor
   academic and economic life outcomes.

Who We Serve

   NMS youth with books and thank you sign Latino youth are the bedrock of
   our community’s future – but many of them face tremendous
   challenges that severely limit their options and opportunities. At the
   same time, these youth bring many strengths: love of family, pride in
   their culture, an eagerness to succeed, and an impressive resilience to
   forge ahead in spite of the hardships they have endured.

   reach their full potential and work towards a successful transition
   into adulthood. We invite you to explore the stories of just a few of
   the youth we have been privileged to serve. These stories show
   how determined Identity youth are to overcome challenges and create
   a better future for themselves and their community.
