(BUTTON) Close share panel Royston Road Image copyright Google Image caption The incident happened last May on Glasgow's Royston Road Three men are to stand trial charged with running a man over and shooting him in a Glasgow street. William Barclay, 24, Joseph Barclay, 40, and John Gallagher, 48, are accused of attempting to murder Mark Bristow, 30, on Royston Road in May last year. The charge alleges Mr Bristow was hit by a car before being shot in the leg as he lay on the ground. At the High Court in Glasgow, all three entered not guilty pleas to the charges and a trial was set for next year. William and Joseph Barclay, both of Springburn, Glasgow, and Mr Gallagher, from the Blochairn area, are said to have been acting with another unknown individual. The three men face a separate allegation of being in possession of a shotgun. They are further accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice by trying to burn the car used in the alleged attempted murder. William Barclay faces an earlier charge of stealing a vehicle or an alternative allegation of reset. Judge Lady Rae set a trial for next April. The case could last up to 10 days.
