Charlie Hebdo magazines are apparently being sold by an Ebay seller from Gloucester for up to £100,100.

A bidding frenzy has ensued for four remaining magazines are still to be sold and range in price from £820 to £95,500 with a few hours left to sell - but it seems that people will stop at nothing to get their hands on the magazine.

It is the first published work from the satirical magazine since 12 people in its Paris office were killed by Islamic extremists supposedly in retaliation for depicting the Prophet Muhammad.

In a show of defiance, and the defence of freedom of speech, the magazine received hundreds of thousands in donations, allowing to do a print run of five million copies, rather its usual 60,000.

Despite the large number being printed, it appears there are not enough to fill demand overseas.

The Gloucester seller, lcg1981, has already sold one magazine for £100,100 and another four are seeing hundreds of bids, with all bidding closing by 6.33pm this evening.

On the site, he says: “I have a small supply of the Charlie Hebdo magazines available that I can post out Friday 16th January from the UK, these are the special edition with Mohamed depicted that has been released due to the recent tragic events.

“Please note that this is the UK version of the magazine that will most likely be printed in English.

“You are bidding for one copy of the magazine.”
