This is how not to react to being turned down for a second date

This guy sounds like quite a catch.

As dispiriting as it must be to get turned down for a second date, he’s given a textbook lesson in how not to react.

After a first meeting with a London woman in her 30s, which he obviously thought went swimmingly, he texted and said he would love to meet up again.

She was clearly less impressed, but polite, saying she didn’t think they were right for each other, and wished him luck.

woman declines second date, date asks her to pay back £4.50 for the drink Credit: www.thehourglass.co.uk

What followed is rather cringeworthy, before he eventually got the message – and demanded she pay him back for the drink he bought her.

Not letting the refusal deter him in any way, he then offered to cook her dinner – and was again politely turned down.

The woman replied: ‘Very kind of you but as I said, I don’t think we are right for each other, so would not want to waste your time.’

Realising he’s getting nowhere, he throws his toys out the pram and demands that she pays him back for the drink he bought her.

He even sent his account number so he could reimburse her with the £4.50 he shelled out, thinking he was going to get more from his date.

But this wasn’t before he had voiced his annoyance with her, stating: ‘I’m annoyed that you are unfair and refuse to meet up again and give it another chance on the basis that “you are reserved”.’

The conversation was shared on Twitter by her friend Luke Mackay, who wrote: ‘My friend went on a date with quite literally the worst person in the world. HOW NICE IS SHE THOUGH.’
