A bidding frenzy has ensued for four remaining magazines are still to be sold and range in price from £820 to £95,500 with a few hours left to sell - but it seems that people will stop at nothing to get their hands on the magazine. It is the first published work from the satirical magazine since 12 people in its Paris office were killed by Islamic extremists supposedly in retaliation for depicting the Prophet Muhammad. In a show of defiance, and the defence of freedom of speech, the magazine received hundreds of thousands in donations, allowing to do a print run of five million copies, rather its usual 60,000.
