When I googled my site http://www.getrussianwife.com/ the #2 listing that came up in the search was the site that stole my content (my videos and comments) and they incorporated my site's name in their URL:
http://meetrussianladiesonline.com/tag/www-getrussianwife-com/ therefore they are stealing my traffic as well.
How do I make a complaint to google so this site would be deindexed or whatever other measures taken to get them to stop stealing my content and traffic?
You can file a spam report with Google. In fact do that, because it's a garbage site. Google deosnt' act specifically on such reprots, it uses them to fine-tune the programs whcih will eventually be able to detect such garbage and deindex it.
If they stole your content you can file a DMCA.
But I don't see the same content, only mention of your domain as text and meaningless gibberish. It's spam without any doubt.
Sure if your only searches are based on the words "russian bride" and similar, even without that site mentioning your domain, it has those same words. As do hundreds of thousands of more or less spammy sites. But they generally don't all rank.
Webado, thanks for your reply! The stolen content is actually from my youtube channel - it is the video that we made and the comments to the video from youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWKc7RWwYT4 it's my channel - getrussianwife and on the video itself if you watch it you can see the getrussianwife.com logo show up every minute or so and in the very beginning.
So how do I file a DMCA? and how do I file a spam report with google?
If the video is simply embedded on their site, all you need to do is to disallow embedding from your Youtube account. Otherwise it's permitted and it's not called copying.
would the comments from youtube users also be embedded in his site? And if it is embedded he is still using my site name in his URL and hijacking my traffic. You said that it's a spam site, so how do I report that to google? Thanks for the CMCA link!
The video is embedded, not copied. The comments stay with the youtube page where the video is hosted. They don't belong to your site either.
There's no law against using anything in a url. It's just a character string. URLs don't constitute idnexable content, it's the text on pages which is indexable content.
OK, thanks for your help! Last question: you said that this site is spam, how do you define spam in this case? What is it about this site that makes it "spam"?
Hi again, I disallowed imbedding of the video on youtube, but it still plays on http://meetrussianladiesonline.com/tag/www-getrussianwife-com/ why is that? could it be that it's not imbedded but that they stole the actual file? It has been a few days now since I did that. And this site still is number 2 on google search if you search for getrussianwife.com I did report it to google the same day you suggested that I do, how long does it take them to take measures?
you probably clicked part 6 and yes that one was flagged (most likely by a competitor) and doesn't work any more. But if you click part 1 http://meetrussianladiesonline.com/russian-women-the-real-deal-part-1/ or part 2 http://meetrussianladiesonline.com/russian-women-the-real-deal-part-2/ they both still work even though I disallowed embedding in my video manager on youtube. Does that mean that they actually downloaded the files and have them on their server?
strange, I can still watch them on this site even after I refreshed the page. this site still is number 2 on google search if you search for getrussianwife.com I did report it to google the same day you suggested that I do, how long does it take them to take measures?
