'I'm going to be a mummy': Jessica Simpson FINALLY confirms she is pregnant

Jessica Simpson has finally confirmed what everyone's been thinking - she is indeed pregnant.

The 31-year-old reality star has just made an official announcement on her website.

She wrote a short message, telling her fans: 'It's true, I am going to be a mummy.'

The former singer, who is engaged to NFL star Eric Johnson, also comically dressed up in a mummy Halloween outfit in a photograph to accompany the announcement, while cradling her bump.

Jessica has been at the centre of swirling pregnancy rumours for weeks now - but until today has remained mum.

Expert believe the star to be at least six months gone.

According to speculation by a Boston-based gynaecologist, Jessica is heading into her third trimester.

The doctor, Dave David, told RadarOnline: 'She looks to be 26 weeks, which is around six months.

'It is definitely a pregnancy and not weight gain. You can by the shape of her abdomen, her belly wouldn't be that rounded if it was just fat.'

Yesterday Jessica reunited with Eric after jetting back to the West Coast from her business trip in New York.

Simpson was seen laying a protective hand over her growing tummy as she walked hand-in-hand with Eric.

She was dressed casually in black leggings, platform Alaia boots and a holey beige jumper.

Eric was the perfect gent and helped his wife-to-be into their black BMW by holding the door open for her as she got in.

The couple looked in good spirits as they put on a smiley display during their outing in Beverly Hills.

Last week Jessica, along with her mother Tina and some friends, checked out several apartments in New York.

The former singer is reportedly looking for somewhere to buy in the Big Apple for her and fiance Eric to reside now that she spends so much time there working on her fashion lines.
