Make Pretty Buttons
   Look at the pretty button, the shiny red button! Oh no, wait. Your button isn’t red. Your button isn’t even shiny! It is rather dull these days because you (like many others) have forgotten about styling up your buttons to get your Web site interface a smooth new look. Buttons are the last thing people try to “make pretty” because many think it is too much work. I know I do.

     Creating a consistent interface for your users is a constant struggle for every application designer. Building consistency on the web is especially tough because the visual rendering differences across browsers and operating systems are wildly different and almost arbitrary in what can and cannot be done. No where does this become more apparent than when you’re dealing with form elements and the biggest loser of them all in the battle for a standardized look is the infamous Submit button.
   Sure the buttons might get forgotten about from time to time, but should they? Give your buttons some CSS love today. They will appreciate it.
