(San Antonio, TX) introduced the Sirius Source, a new power source for the testing of standard and uninterruptible power supplies. This power source is being integrated into Autotest's line of power-supply testers and will be sold separately as an all-in-one source for power-supply builders and purchasers. The new Sirius Source is capable of providing dc power up to 400Vdc, and 0Vac to 280Vac in single-phase and three-phase configurations. It can also supply full power output at any voltage, while requiring no manual-range switching, and high-voltage/low-current inputs as well as high-current/low-voltage inputs. Autotest claims that Sirius Source can save money by eliminating the need for multiple ac and dc power sources in the test system. "If you are in the business of needing to test a power supply, either because you manufactured it or because you purchased it, you need a source of power to turn the supply on and run the test," says Autotest Product Developer Rick Frankenberger. "You need to be able to change voltages to test for brown-out conditions and you need to change frequencies. Sirius covers the whole gamut with a single product. It can meet the needs of a manufacturer's whole product line." Share this story email Send via E-mail twitter Post to Twitter Share on Facebook On the Web: Autotest Co.
