Le barrage

   Le barrage de chacune des guitares de la gamme est spécialement étudié
   pour obtenir le meilleur son possible, en fonction du style de musique
   et de l'utilisation de la guitare. Les éléments du barrage (braces)
   sont en épicéa et sont taillés selon des critères bien précis (dont la
   forme en -T- pour augmenter la surface de contact avec la table).

   Soixante secondes sont nécessaires pour les coller à chaud dans un
   "four à micro-ondes" sophistiqué dont les fréquences radio accélèrent
   le collage par modification de la stucture des molécules ( dans les
   conditions normales, il faudrait de dix à douze heures). Les "braces"
   sont solidarisés à la table dans des moules en gomme de silicone qui
   les positionnent avec une précision extrême afin d'obtenir également
   le bombé unique des tables d'Ovation. Les excédents de colle sont
   soigneusement nettoyés par opératrice. Pour l'anecdote, l'intensité de
   ces fréquences radio est telle qu'un tube au néon non branché
   s'allume!

   Les systèmes de barrage mis au point par Ovation sont adaptés pour
   fonctionner avec des tables très flexibles (les barrages Takamine,
   eux, s'agrémentent mieux de bois plus raides).

   Les différents types de barrages (brace pattems) sont les suivants :

     - en A,

     - en V,

     - Classic (double pan),

     - 12 cordes,

     - Adamas.
