     Une poule unique à 14 en 2005
   Le Comité directeur de la Ligue nationale, réuni mercredi soir à
   Paris, a validé le passage du Championnat de France à une poule unique
   de quatorze équipes à partir de l'exercice 2005-2006 et ce jusqu'en
   2007-2008.

   L'Assemblée générale, réunie le 16 avril à Paris, devra toutefois
   valider cette réforme réduisant le nombre de clubs dans l'élite.
   Deux solutions sont au programme. Garder la formule actuelle, à savoir
   deux poules de huit, play-offs et poule de maintien pour l'an
   prochain. Les équipes classées 6e, 7e et 8e de la poule de maintien
   seraient directement reléguées en Pro D2, alors qu'un match de barrage
   opposerait le 5e de la poule de maintien et le deuxième de Pro D2.
   L'autre solution, qui devrait plaire aux clubs, vise à organiser un
   Championnat avec une poule unique de seize équipes la saison
   prochaine. Les équipes classées 14e, 15e et 16e seraient reléguées en
   Pro D2, alors qu'un match de barrage opposerait le 13e de première
   division au deuxième de Pro D2.
   Dans les deux cas, le champion de Pro D2 accédera à l'élite en fin de
   saison prochaine.
